Fethiye Mosque is located at Fethiye Avenue, on Felhiye Medresesi Slreet. It was originally a church called (Pammakarasistos) that was built in the 13th century by one of the Byzantine state, Mikhail Glabas Tarkaniotes. It originally consisted of two churches one of which is smaller than the other, and they are located side by side. The main church is the most important section. Glabas was buried in the parakkleison (side corridor) dedicated to Christ, and is the second church, which was added to the building in 1315 by his wife Maria who was also buried in this place after her death.
