Native Name: Haseki Sultan Camii
Mimar Sinan built Haseki Sultan mosque between 1538 and 1539, after he was appointed as Hassa Mimarbasi (architect of the royal palace).
The main location is rectangular and covered with two domes measuring 11 meters in diameter. The interior is ornamented with pen crafts with vivid blue and red colors. Originally, there was only one dome when the mosque was first built. The second dome was built in the extensions work that took place in 1612 when also a square location on its East side was added. The last congregation place is a glass-covered location.
