Miniaturk is a museum located across the shore of the Golden Horn. It was opened in May, 2003. There are models of many important places and historical-works-in-Turkey exhibited as well as a model of the Ottoman geography. Miniaturk covers a total area of 60.000 m² and thus considered the world's largest miniature park with its 15.000 m² model area, 40.000 m² of open space, 3.500 m² of covered area, 2.000 m² of pools and waterways as well as a parking area with a capacity of 500 vehicles.
Miniaturk contains over 100 models built in 1/25th the size of their originals of which 45 of the models are from Istanbul, 45 are from Anatolia, and 15 are from the Ottoman territories that today lie outside of Turkey. There are also historic structures like the Temple...
