Native Name: Kilic Ali Pasa Camii
Kilic Ali Pasha Mosque is located on the European coast of Bosphorus in the Tophane Square, between Ali Pasha Medresesi Street which connects with Kemerallt Avenue and Killy Ali Pasha Avenue. The mosque is part of a complex building that was constructed by Architect Sinan between 1580-81 for the famous seaman Killy Ali Pasha. The complex itself consists of a mosque, a religious school, a tomb, a public fountain and a hamam (Turkish bath). The architect of the complex, Sinan, is considered the most famous of all Ottoman architects.
