Ortakoy is one of the most beautiful districts of Bosphorus which is located at the end of the Ciragan Avenue from Besiktas. The district witnesses different cultures living in peace on its land, as there are the Ortakoy Mosque, Hagios Fokas Greek Church on the Muallim Avenue and Aiz Ahayim Sinagogue, all located near each other in the district. The district is also a wonderful place to stop for tea or coffee, a snack or a meal, a stroll, some boutique window-shopping or a rest in the bars, cafes, stands selling jewellery set on the streets, in addition to shops selling kumpir (baked potato) and gozleme (pancake) shops on Bosphorus shores.
