Rumelihisari
Rumelihisari is a village that took its name from the fortress of Rumeli which was built by Fatih. It is the first settlement area of Turks on this side of the Bosphorus and it became a Muslim village in 1450s. Several mansions are found on the coast of Rumelihisari. After 1950, the increase in emigration caused Shantytowns to grew up on the higher parts of the Rumelihisari.
