Haseki Sultan Mosque

Native Name: Haseki Sultan Camii

Mimar Sinan built Haseki Sultan mosque between 1538 and 1539 , after he was appointed as Hassa Mimarbasi (architect of the royal palace) .
The main location is rectangular and covered with two domes measuring 11 meters in diameter . The interior is ornamented with pen crafts with vivid blue and red colors . Originally , there was only one dome when the mosque was first built . The second dome was built in the extensions work that took place in 1612 when also a square location on its East side was added . The last congregation place is a glass-covered location .
