The Tomb of Yavuz Sultan Selim is located at the mihrab side of the mosque . It has an octagon plan . There is a porch in the tomb decorated with panels of tiles of unique design . The doors and windows of the building are enriched with mother of pearls . There is only the sarcophagus of Sultan Selim in this tomb . At the northeast of this tomb , there is Shehzades Tomb where the three sons of Kanuni and his two sisters were buried . The tomb located in the east is in ruined condition and belongs to Kanuni's mother , Hafsa sultan . Only remains of the walls of this tomb and iron bars of the windows survived till today .
