By Air:
If you want to get out of
Istanbul
to the rest of Turkey you can catch a Turkish Airlines flight out of the domestic terminal at Atatürk Airport . In addition , there are new privately run airlines which have been available recently which means there are many more options and prices available for traveling to Mediterranean and Aegean hotspots like Antalya , Bodrum , Izmir and Fethiye . Besides Turkish Airlines , there are Pegasus Air , Onur Air , Atlasjet , and Flyair that offer such air flights .
By Road:
The cheaper means of transportation are the inter city buses . You can find these inter city buses in two major bus stations on either side of the city , Topkapi on the European side and Harem on the Asian side . There are also the upmarket Varan and Ulusoy bus companies which run out of their own terminals and they also stop en route to their destinations at well appointed road side restaurants and rest stations on the route . For example , if you travel to Ankara via one of these buses , it will cost you on average $30 (45 TL) for traveling that lasts about 5 ½ hours .
